Wenlock and Mandeville were unveiled on 19 May 2010. They are the official mascots for the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games
Much Wenlock, earlier known as Wenlock, is a small town in central Shropshire, England. The town is known for Wenlock Olympian Games set up by Dr William Penny Brookes in 1850.
Stoke Mandeville Games are the precursor of the Paralympic Games. The IWAS World Games, formerly known as the World Wheelchair and Amputee Games, the Stoke Mandeville Wheelchair Games, the Stoke Mandeville Games, and the World Wheelchair Games (in the 60s and 70s often referred to as the Wheelchair Olympics), are a multi-sport competition for athletes with a disability.
